Presenting December 2019 on <strong>Vancouver Island<\/strong>, B.C. Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sandysglobaleyes.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/1ac60a36-227f-4180-af1c-26fd09374307-collage.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5212\" \/><figcaption>Celebrating a beautiful meal with immediate family&#8230; <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The restaurant in Nanaimo was called \u201cThe Modern Cafe\u201d&#8230; the delicious entrees were far from \u201cCafe\u201d fair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sandysglobaleyes.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/e320398b-e428-420b-8c18-ddfb1e37b5d7-collage.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5214\" \/><figcaption>Alexander recommends the house burger too! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Back at the house&#8230;.My mom presented us with a stunning, colorful quilt which our rescue kitten Sophia instantly proceeded to check out! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sandysglobaleyes.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/img_20210412_213438-animation.gif?w=1000\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5216\" \/><figcaption>Sophia checks out the new quilt<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On December 24th we relaxed around the house and played with our kitten Sophia. Tomorrow family would be arriving! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sandysglobaleyes.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/ddd43506-7783-45c5-8346-4733f2600ed7-collage.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5219\" \/><figcaption>Christmas Eve with immediate family <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sophia (7 months old) is always involved in all activities&#8230; and much loved \ud83d\ude3d. Our kitten suffers from PTSD from her unknown history before her mother and litter were discovered in the forest. She can be extremely wary and anxious in many settings&#8230; but she is content and happy with the 4 of us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sandysglobaleyes.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/1431b3e2-1f3d-4b4f-af6c-39ff6482ae06-collage.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5221\" \/><figcaption>Sophia receives tons of love \ud83d\udc95 <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We were not blessed with the joy of young children zealous to commence  festivities on Christmas morning this year&#8230;but we had fun activities planned and more family arriving from other areas of B.C. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sandysglobaleyes.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/1bcdbfde-c0a8-4f76-9ab7-339063f108f1-collage.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5225\" \/><figcaption>Christmas morning fun! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two trips were anticipated to pick up family members who were crossing by B.C Ferries from the mainland of B.C. to Nanaimo. The first 2 visitors arriving are coming from Prince George \u2014 my brother Mark and lovely Begona. Mark\u2019s sister, Ingrid, is also arriving later from Vancouver. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sandysglobaleyes.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/7fa2ed0d-033d-440e-8e15-95ad11b14be5-collage.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5228\" \/><figcaption>Nothing is quite as wonderful as having family together at Christmas \ud83e\udd70<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are a few highlights from our last Christmas and Boxing Day prior to Covid 19.
